ABOUT US

Bob and Tom, LLC
, arose out of a lifelong interest in horses on the part of its four partners, Tom and Sandy Brown and Bob and Karen Minto of Findlay, Ohio. The brain of the operation is Tom, who has owned and managed some of the finest pleasure broodmares in the business.  He is also the one who happened across an opportunity to purchase Hot Impulse. Sandy and Karen are the secretaries, and Bob is the artist and ad campaign manager.

But it is Hot Impulse, affectionately known as Webster, that you want to know about.  This outstanding stallion was first recognized by the well-known trainer and exhibitor Troy Compton.  He believed from the first time he saw him that the colt had the athleticism and character to become not only a great pleasure horse in his own right, but also to become a great pleasure horse sire.  It has all come true.  Early on Hot Impulse won several futurities and went on to earn a circuit championship at Tom Powers in 2000 and the World championship in Junior Western Riding in 2001.  He also has a superior in western pleasure with limited showing.  People have been talking about him ever since.  In 2004 and 2005, Hot Impulse offspring have won state futurities, circuit championships, and a Congress championship.  His get have won events across the country as diversified as halter, hunter under saddle, and western riding in addition to western pleasure.

In 2006 Webster babies garnered three Congress Championships, two Congress Reserve Championships, two Southern Belle $75,000 slot class winners (First and Second Place in 3 YO Novice WP), multiple Congress top tens and multiple World top tens. In 2007 new Webster babies began winning, including Hesa Hot Zippo, who took Reserve Champion in the Reichert Celebration’s $250,000 Equine Sports Medicine Challenge 2 YO WP class and Impulse Fund, the Southern Belle Futurity Champion in the 2 YO Open Non-Pro class, Reichert Champion in the Adurel 2 YO WP Non-Pro Slot Class, and Reserve Reichert Champion in the Sundowner 2 YO Intermediate Slot Class. In Essence garnered Reserve Reichert Maturity Champion.

Also at the 2007 AQHA World, Kamanyawannadance became Reserve Champion Superhorse, missing Champion by only ½ point. And, Hot Rockin’ Rita placed 5th over all and Pleasure’s Impulse placed 9th over all, both in Western Riding. Eleven-year old Miranda Reed accomplished the following with OK, I’m Hot in four months: Superior in Showmanship, 7 Youth All-Arounds, 2 Open All-Arounds, Youth R.O.M., 2 Finals at Congress, 4th place 11 and under Congress Horsemanship, and numerous Circuit Championships.

We look forward to more of the same in 2008, including some Western Riding champions!
